GMI CIP3 preset automates ink key settings greatly and reduces makeready time on almost every offset press. This eliminates paper waste and the need to manually adjust ink zone coverage. GMI CIP3 reads a PPF- (Print Production Format) or bitmap-files and feeds the data directly into the press console. GMI ink key preset is compatible with any prepress RIP or workflow, even if the CIP3 option is unavailable on your system. Area coverage information from prepress data is translated by GMI preset into ink key openings with an automated calibration process. Ink key data is arriving at the press console in perfect quality for the chosen substrate.
